Dim Economic Forecasts for California
There's more unsettling economic news today, with American President Lines cutting jobs in Oakland, and the State Legislative Analyst updating its forecast that the state will run almost $28 billion short during this and the next fiscal year. A new economic forecast also predicts a squeeze on local government because of a fall in property taxes.
