Signal Society Membership
The Signal Society is a special group of friends who annually contribute $1,500 - $9,999 to KQED. This generous support ensures that KQED can continue to present the highest quality programming and educational services for the people of Northern California.
Membership in the Signal Society offers substantial personal rewards as well. Members have unique opportunities to enjoy stimulating by-invitation-only events with the people who make public broadcasting a local and national treasure, use of the 500-title Lending Library, and more.

Ways you can participate:
$1,500-$2,499
- Invitation to KQED Fall Preview & Screening, annual President's Reception and events with public broadcasting personalites
- Lending Library borrowing privileges (to catch up on radio & television programming you may have missed!)
- One-year subscription to San Francisco or printed version of The Guide
- Receive QED In, Signal Society's monthly email newsletter
- Recognition on Annual Donor Wall in the Barbro and Bernard Osher Atrium at KQED Broadcast Center
- KQED MemberCard (good for additional discounts at museums, arts organizations, and stores around the Bay Area)
$2,500-$4,999
Includes benefits extended to above plus:
- Visit to the set of a locally produced television show (at mutually agreed upon time) and lunch or dinner with KQED executive staff
- Support listed in Go Public newsletter
$5,000-$9,999
Includes benefits extended to above plus:
- Reservations for the Signal Society patrons' event
- Live viewing of selected KQED-produced programs
Learn about the Producer's Circle, recognizing KQED donors who give $10,000 or more annually.

KQED formed the Signal Society in 1992 to provide people with a deep commitment to public broadcasting a way to invest at a higher level.
